In Hoodoo and conjure traditions, uncrossing refers to work intended to remove conditions believed to be interfering with a person's road. Depending on the practitioner, this may include suspected crossed conditions, accumulated negativity, spiritual residue, bad luck, persistent obstacles, or simply a season when everything seems to be going wrong at once.

But every difficult season is not a crossing.

Before assuming spiritual interference, consider the practical circumstances surrounding the problem as well. Sometimes what needs removing is an unhealthy relationship, poor decision, neglected responsibility, fear, financial habit, or situation that has simply run its course.

The purpose of uncrossing work is to clear what does not belong so you can see your road clearly again.

How to Use

1. Identify What Needs to Be Cleared
Write your full name on a small piece of paper.

You do not have to know exactly where the problem originated in order to petition for cleansing.

If harmful words have been spoken against me, let them lose their power.

If jealousy has followed me, let it lose my address.

If confusion surrounds me, let clarity enter.

If an unhealthy attachment keeps pulling me backward, loosen its hold.

If I have carried another person's burden as though it belonged to me, let me put it down.

And if the obstacle before me was created by my own choices, give me enough wisdom and humility to recognize it.

Show me what is spiritual.

Show me what is practical.

Show me what must be cleansed.

Show me what must simply be changed.

I refuse to remain trapped inside the same pattern simply because it has become familiar.

Wash away what has run its course.

Break what needs breaking.

Release what needs releasing.

And when the crossing is removed, do not leave my road empty.
