The Break Up / Separation 7-Day Prayer Candle is prepared for spiritual work focused on creating distance, encouraging separation, breaking unhealthy attachments, and bringing unwanted relationships or associations to an end.

This candle may be used when a relationship, friendship, partnership, or other connection has become unhealthy, disruptive, unwanted, or has simply reached its natural conclusion. Break Up / Separation work focuses on loosening the ties that keep two people connected and encouraging each person to go their separate way.

It can also be incorporated into personal release work when you are the one struggling to detach from someone you know is no longer good for you.

Write the names of the two people or the connection you wish to separate on a petition paper.

For personal release work, you might write:

“The attachment between [Name] and me is broken. What has ended is released. We peacefully separate, move forward independently, and no longer interfere with one another's lives.”

For a situation involving unwanted interference, focus your petition on removing the connection and creating distance, rather than causing physical harm or suffering.

Place your petition beneath the candle in a safe location.

As you light the candle, visualize the connection loosening. Imagine each person turning toward a different road and moving farther apart until the attachment between them no longer has power.

You may also write the two names on opposite ends of the petition and tear the paper down the middle after completing your working as a symbolic act of separation.

“What should no longer remain joined, let it separate. What has become unhealthy, unwanted, disruptive, or finished, let it come to its rightful end.

Break the attachment that keeps these roads unnecessarily intertwined. Let interest fade, communication decrease, and distance grow where distance is needed.

Remove obsession, unhealthy attachment, confusion, and the desire to continue what should be released.

Let each person recognize clearly when it is time to move on. Let one road become two roads, each traveling in a different direction.

Where separation can happen peacefully, let there be peace. Where closure is needed, let there be closure. Where boundaries have been ignored, let those boundaries become strong.

May what is finished stay finished. May what is released remain released. May neither person continue holding onto what no longer belongs in their life.
